Then Leo (svgcuts) did a P2P video for eclips and introduced me to PatternCooler (patterncooler.com). This site has about a gazillon seamless designs you can download for free to use in P2C. I'm in love! I have way more patterned paper that I won't use and this site gives me the option of choosing my design and my colors. I always print on matte photo paper to get the best quality print from my printer. So where are we? I spent today creating a car for Em and made it a P2P to use some of the images I got from patterncooler just for fun.
Step 1. I designed the car in Inkscape, (but there is no reason not to design in eCAL) since that is what I'm used to.
Step 2 Go to PatternCooler.com and pick your pattern(s) for the pieces you want to have in a pattern. See Leo's eclips tutorial video for basic instructions for doing this. It works the same way in SCAL.
I chose 50% as the download option since I'm just doing small pieces). I also changed the filename as the one that comes with the png file is LOOOOOOOg. I created a separate file for them and renamed them as appropriate to the element I was using it for. I usually put all the elements of a design in one folder for reference.

Step 3 Be in eCAl,SCAL or whatever program that will support importing/applying patterns. Apply the patterns to the appropriate pieces. Print/Cut however you do it.
The file will "paper piece" if you are of a mind to do that, but since I don't see well and fingers shake a bit I pretty much print or P2C now that I have the eclips.
I hope you enjoy this file as much and I do and FOR SURE if you get designs from patterncooler, be sure to "donate". He has spent a great deal of time and talent creating this super site that will save all of us $$$ on paper along.
Download - I list all files separate since who needs all of them cluttering up your computer.
I hope you enjoy and use this file as much as Em and I will.
